Welcome to our fundraising site: help us to save lives
Did you know that in Africa a medic will walk for hours, just to see one patient? Or that a sick person may be carried for miles to see a doctor only to find when they get there that the help they so urgently need has just left?
Can you imagine walking for eight hours, carrying your sick child, in blinding heat in order to find them urgent medical help? In the UK this is unheard of. In Africa this is commonplace.
That is why we have signed up to Enduro Africa Riders for Life Charity, a unique and challenging motorcycle experience which will enable us to raise money to buy and deliver two motorcycles for medics in South Africa. Motorcycles are often the only means of transport that can cope with the harsh terrain and will be used by medical staff to ride out to remote villages to provide aid to those who desperately need it.
"Enduro Africa provides an emotional rollercoaster that will test and reward you more than you could have ever thought possible"
To take part we need to raise £10,000. This will buy two trials motorcycles which we will then ride 1700 km across Africa to deliver them to directly to a medical worker who can then put them to instant use. Participants Sean and Pete have already put up a £1000 of their own money to kick start the fundraising, so now £9,000 is needed.
